I’ve been in sand storms, rain showers, dust storms, blizzards and my sensor is clean. Have you cleaned yours?
I have had my D50 for 10 months. In that time I have been drenched on the Belize river, roasted in Death Valley, and picked sand from my teeth at the Grand Staircase, yet, I have never had to clean my sensor.
(Indeed, in the last snow storm my D50 camera got so soaked and muddy that the ISO and aperture was changing randomly! It recovered completely. Impressive)
How long did you have your digital SLR camera before you needed to clean the sensor?
That is a good point. I never have changed my lens.
Did you change lenses? The main reason for dust on the sensor is lens changes. If you used only one lens and never removed it then there’s a good chance no dust entered the body.
